Samsung Browser is now available on Windows PCs: the company is expanding the Galaxy ecosystem with a cross‑platform browser and Galaxy AI.

Samsung Browser is now available on Windows PCs

Samsung Electronics has officially released Samsung Browser (formerly known as Samsung Internet) for Windows‑based PCs. This is a significant move for the Galaxy ecosystem, as it lets owners of Galaxy smartphones and Galaxy Book laptops get a truly seamless web‑browsing experience between mobile devices and Windows computers.

The browser first appeared in beta on October 30, 2025, in the United States and South Korea. By early 2026, it became globally available for download from the official site, without regional restrictions, although it is still labeled as a beta‑version application. Installation is supported on Windows 11 and Windows 10 (version 1809 and later).

Key features on Windows

Samsung Cloud sync

Bookmarks, browsing history, open tabs, and some other data automatically sync between a Galaxy phone and the Windows PC. This lets users, for example, start reading an article on the phone and continue it on the computer without losing their place. Samsung Pass also supports password autofill across devices.

Integration with Galaxy AI

The browser includes Galaxy AI features such as “Ask AI” / “Browsing Assistant,” which can summarize web pages, answer questions about the text, and translate content in real time. These tools are especially useful for productivity and are currently available in the U.S. and South Korea, with plans to expand to more regions. Samsung markets the browser as a gateway to “ambient AI,” an intelligent ecosystem that anticipates user needs and helps on any device.

Privacy and usability

Like the mobile version, the desktop browser offers advanced tracker blocking, a private‑browsing mode, and a clean, fast interface. The underlying security is based on the Galaxy privacy framework, with real‑time monitoring of tracking attempts and a privacy dashboard.

Additional capabilities

Users can set Samsung Browser as the default browser in Windows, customize their search engine, and benefit from regular Chromium‑engine updates. The current version is more stable and polished than the short‑lived Microsoft Store release from 2023. Extensions from the Chrome Web Store are also supported on the PC version.

Why this matters for users

Owners of Galaxy smartphones, who already like the mobile Samsung Browser for its ad‑blocking, UI, and Galaxy AI tools, now get a consistent desktop companion. [web 1][web 7] This makes the Samsung ecosystem feel more unified—phones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches working together as a single experience.

Analysts see the Windows launch not as a simple mobile‑to‑desktop copy, but as a strategic step in a competitive landscape of AI‑powered browsers such as Arc, SigmaOS, and Microsoft Edge with Copilot.

How to install on a PC

  • Go to the official site: browser.samsung.com
  • Download the installer (now available for all regions).
  • Install the app and sign in with your Samsung account to enable sync.
  • Optionally, set Samsung Browser as the default in Windows settings.

The browser is still in beta, so small bugs may appear; Samsung continues to roll out updates adding stability, engine improvements, and new AI features.

Future outlook

Samsung plans to deepen Galaxy AI integration and, in time, likely release a full stable version. For users already invested in the Galaxy ecosystem, this browser offers a comfortable way to make web browsing for work and entertainment more seamless across devices.

If you own a Galaxy device, trying the new browser is recommended: thanks to strong sync and AI features, it can be a pleasant alternative to Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
