AliExpress is moving product recommendations closer to the videos people watch. In an October 20 announcement, the marketplace outlined an expanded YouTube Shopping affiliate partnership covering the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Germany. Eligible creators will be able to find and tag AliExpress products inside YouTube Studio across long-form videos, Shorts and livestreams.

The collaboration began in South Korea in March 2026. Further expansion is planned in phases. That is an announced rollout, not proof that every US creator can already access AliExpress offers.

What is changing?

The announcement emphasizes Brand+, AliExpress’s selection of international and local branded products. It identifies consumer electronics, sports and outdoor, home and living, and lifestyle as relevant categories. It does not provide a complete participating-product list or a universal commission rate.

The practical appeal is straightforward: a useful demonstration can lead viewers to the specific item being discussed, rather than leaving them to search for a vaguely described gadget. But a tag should identify the right product, not simply something that looks similar.

Who can participate?

This is a YouTube creator program, not automatic access for everyone with an AliExpress affiliate account. YouTube’s eligibility guidance requires membership in the YouTube Partner Program, meeting its applicable subscriber threshold, and being based in an eligible country. The United States is listed.

YouTube also excludes music channels, Official Artist Channels and channels associated with music partners. A channel cannot be set as Made for Kids or have a significant number of videos with that audience setting. Pilot requirements may differ, so check the current criteria for your channel rather than relying on an old subscriber-number rule.

How to check YouTube Studio

  1. Sign in to the correct channel in YouTube Studio and open Earn.
  2. Look for Shopping or an invitation to join the affiliate program. If offered, review its terms before enrolling.
  3. For participating channels, open Earn → Shopping → Explore affiliate offers. Check whether AliExpress and relevant products actually appear for your account.
  4. Read each available offer’s commission and conditions. Do not assume a rate from a different affiliate platform applies.

If Shopping or AliExpress is absent, that alone does not establish why. Check channel eligibility and current rollout information before planning a video around an unavailable offer.

How tags reach shoppers

YouTube’s tagging instructions explain how creators select products through the content editor. For an existing video, open Content, select the video, and find Products on its Details page. Livestreams also support product tagging for participating creators.

Viewers may see a Shopping button on long-form videos or a product sticker on Shorts, with a list of tagged items. Visibility depends on supported viewer locations and the viewing experience. AliExpress says purchases proceed on its site, so a tag is not a promise of checkout inside YouTube.

YouTube requires tags to be meaningfully related to the content. Demonstrate the item clearly and identify it, rather than filling a video with unrelated shopping recommendations.

Useful content still comes first

A creator-desk walkthrough is a natural example: explain what a microphone or light solves, show its limitations, and distinguish the exact package from optional accessories. PMCODE’s budget creator desk setup guide can help with planning that kind of practical content. Its products are research ideas, not a verified list of YouTube-tagging offers.

For shoppers, compare the selected variant, seller, shipping and final checkout total before buying. A polished video does not remove those checks, and an affiliate relationship should be disclosed clearly.

What remains uncertain

PMCODE has not verified AliExpress offer availability inside an eligible US creator’s Studio account. The announcement does not settle account-by-account activation dates or guaranteed earnings. YouTube says merchants set product commission rates and attribution windows; returns can reverse commissions.

This partnership is separate from PMCODE’s AliExpress Portals account and October incentive campaigns. It does not automatically grant PMCODE YouTube Shopping access or new commissions. The next useful check is the actual offer shown in an eligible creator’s Studio, not a headline percentage from another program.
